Happy Father’s day!
For my husband, Jens
When I met Jens 25 years ago (wow, time flies!), I would not have ever imagined where we are now! Jens was different from me in every aspect which I could count. I would have never thought that we would be a couple!
Not only we became a couple, but we have married more than 20 years now. Over the years, we have changed and adapted to each other.. And most of all, I have observed him becoming such a great and caring father to David! He continues to adapt and learn to be a better father. I admit that I sometimes was pretty hard on David for his school works.. Jens says that I have a moment of being “tiger Korean mom”. When the situation was pretty hot, he became a calming and reasoning voice to remind me what is the most important thing.
Life is a continuing journey of changes and uncertainties for all. All of us continue to learn through the journey. Sometimes, it is hard, joyous, happy, sad, heartbroken..
With all unknowns, the only thing I can say for sure is that it is truly a blessing to have a family who walks with you through this journey and can laugh and cry together!
